astronomical images

Images presented here are direct conversions from the standard reduced images coming out of the ATOM image pipeline in the astronomical FITS format to the widely-used jpg/png bitmap formats. Thus the image scale is here 0.45 arcsec on the sky per pixel as in the scientifically used images.
Cen A 3 color composite of Centaurus A. Blue channel is 200sec in V band, green is 100sec in R band and red channel is 100sec exposure in I band.
M8 3 color composite of M8. To increase the dynamic rage of the photos, each color channel in this 3 color RGB composite consists of 3 stacked exposures: 20sec exposure time in I band (red), 20sec in R band (green) and 40seconds in V band (blue).
PKS 2155-304 60sec R band exposure of PKS 2155-304. This is one of the main targets of ATOM and is observed nearly every night during its visibility period.
