Title UKIDSS, and searches for high-redshift quasars
Abstract

The UKIRT Infrared Deep Sky Survey (UKIDSS) is the largest existing sky survey in the near-infrared. I will describe the current status of the survey, briefly cover some of the science highlights, before presenting the latest results from a search for high-redshift quasars which has the main aim of finding quasars beyond the current redshift limit of z = 6.4, in order to explore the epoch of reionisation.
