Useful Links:
- a large collection of astronomical catalogs (including astrometric ones) can be found at
VizieR
Useful Links:
- JPL ephemeris for the calculation
of precise positions of solar system objects at any give time (useful for calculation of
parallax offsets). There is also an
IDL program
which can read and interpolate the JPL tables.
Useful Links:
- Documentation about the Hipparcos Catalogue,
especially Vol.10, the Double and Multiple System Annex
- Washington Double Star Catalog
- SB9: Spectroscopic Binary Orbits
- Statistical Astrometry: papers by Wielen et al.
- Principles of Statistical Astrometry, A&A 325, 367, 1997
- Indications on the binary nature of individual stars derived from a
comparison of their Hipparcos proper motions with ground-based data, A&A 346, 675, 1999
