Wavefront aberrations

The interferogram and its analysis gives a wavefront aberation of 0.181 lambda p-V, 0.027 lambda rms @ 633 nm.

Prism Coating

Due to its large dimensions and the well-known risk of thermal stress, the prism was decided to be AR coated at low (i.e., room) temperature. The multi-layer broadband AR coating for an AoI = 45 deg was produced by REOSC/Velizy. The following picture shows the prism in the REOSC coating plant:

The following picture shows the total transmission measured under AoI = 45 deg on the two-sided coated proof piece together with the specs. In addition the transmission of the uncoated prism is shown. A small absorption can be noted in the 370-450 nm range. This is caused by the low temperature during the coating process:
