| Title | The dynamics of dark and visible matter in galaxies |
| Abstract |
Disk galaxies present us with a range of phenomena that are still poorly understood. I present examples, from nuclear star clusters up to dark matter halos, of our efforts at understanding disk galaxy evolution using simulations. This work is helping us understand how supermassive black holes grow, how halos are shaped by disks and is drastically changing our view of how to conduct galactic archaeology. |
